'Nocturne in E major' Featured In Digital Concert Series
I’m delighted to have ‘Nocturne in E major’ premiered by concert pianist Maria Marchant as part of her livestream concert series ‘7 Notes In 7 Days At 7pm’.
This nocturne was composed between 2018 and 2019. The inspiration for this piece came to me on a summers evening. I was thinking about friendships and past relationships while improvising at the piano, when the main theme emerged from the improvisation. The melody really resonated with my mood at the time. The piece has a wistful and reflective character which I think aptly describes my feelings that evening.
